Under the SFA funding rules, apprentices that need help to continue or complete their apprenticeship can access what is called the Additional Learner Support Fund. This is a set monthly figure that has doubled since the introduction of the levy to £150 per month, per learner.
To access this learning support a “thorough” assessment has to take place and comprehensive records kept of needs and progress. Genius Within can do all of this, allowing you to be sure of the funding, apprentice retention and completion, by successfully passing their end point assessment.
In addition, Excess Learning Support is available (to a maximum value of £19,000 per apprentice). This is claimable if the standard fund (£150 per month) is not enough to meet the needs of the apprentice.
Here at Genius Within we would really like to use our expertise in supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties to succeed in their apprenticeships. We can provide a comprehensive package of support that includes assessment, coaching and mentoring, that enables individuals to get the most out of their programme and to pass their endpoint assessment.
We are on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers as a specialist support organisation.
Our evidence base shows we are able to improve performance retention and outcomes for neurodiverse individuals with conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, acquired brain injury, and mild-to-moderate mental health conditions such as anxiety depression and OCD.
