Genius Within can offer a phased approach through our Genius Screening program, that can include workplace needs assessments and full diagnostic Assessments where required.

We offer 1:1 coaching for employees, as well as co-coaching with their line managers and group coaching for organisations.

Such difficulties are regularly reported by our clients and can be typical of a neurodiverse profile.  Additionally many of our clients with Mental Health and acquired health conditions such as Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue present such difficulties  in their cognitive processing.  OH and HR professionals need to be aware of these issues as the Equality Act 2010 requires employers to make reasonable adjustments for these conditions where the have been present for 12 months or more.

Our half-day courses run by the Genius Within specialist psychologists will ensure you have the practical skills to identify:

• How these difficulties affect people in the workplace
• What you would notice in your practice
• Options for referral of clients
• Recommendations for reasonable adjustments

Our awareness course is also endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) so will contribute to your annual CPD log!

67% of our clients report difficulties with stress and anxiety.

In Occupational Health, these are common topics for referral, yet if the underlying cause is a neurodifference, counselling will not solve the problem.

Since around 10% of the population have dyslexia or a neurodiversity such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and ADHD, we can assume that many of your referrals will too.

Because these difficulties are caused by cognitive processing difficulties such as poor working memory and processing speed, literacy issues are only a symptom.  Many of  our clients were unaware that their condition affected other areas of thinking.  For example, they thought that their dyslexia had been a problem at school, but was now solved.  Their work performance difficulties are, however, a direct result of working memory problems and slow processing speed.  Because of this, they didn’t ask for the right support.

Occupational health is a great opportunity for intervention and resetting on the right path.  We provide ILM accredited development courses in neurodiversity inclusion awareness for Occupational Health practitioners and HR professionals.
